Hello all, I hope you are well. I am currently assisting my mother with her small business https://m.facebook.com/frankieandbilly/. She hand makes quilts, book bags and clothes for children. I have an advertising background however I can't seem to attract new customers for her. She is so passionate about her work and is truly talented. I want her to be able to make a living from her passion! Please let me know if you have any advice, it would mean the world to myself and my mother. Many thanks, Francine
I need to take my business to the next level but finding hard to so and which direction to take. Finding the right people in the right place is difficult. We have a great product and reaching customers and getting more customers to buy our product can be challenging. I would like to enter a new sector of the food industry but don't how to sell or get customers to buy.
What do you see as the biggest challenge/mistake you see most small businesses make when trying to grow a team?
I am keen to understand what trends you see for small business trying to grow teams and talent? We develop mentoring, coaching and goal setting software and are keen to understand how we can better service small business.
What does one need to do to convince retailers that to give us a chance to list our products on the shelf? Margins, bran
Retail world is beast of its own. What do retailers want to see in a product before listing it? I think consumer needs to get options and choices, and retailers need to stop brand monopolies and give Australian brands a chance to rise to the world stage. As we all know online sales are not sustainable in the long run? So how does one make it to BIG WORLD OF RETAIL.
I have never written or followed a sales script. I relate very much to the Cronulla florist errors re holding back offering add on items, Social media is not my strong point, i am in the older age group. I will start some inshop social media photos from tomorrow, keen to try. Really need to know how to write a sales script for my business, retail imported furniture/soft furnishings/ gift lines. My business does the importing and retailing, 1 leased shop, 1warehouse owned. Family business approx 20yrs but change of shop Location 3 yrs ago, due to redelopment, has seen downturn.
We have been in business for 18 years. We own and operate an air conditioning company. Since my husband had a car accident and was off work for 2 years, we have lost most of our long-term customers. My husband works long hours and extremely hard. We are using our own funds to pay for the business expenses. Despite advertising, it's very hard to get new customers and build up the business again. Please let me know if you have any advice? Thank you
