Andrew founded Sonoma bakery with his brother and father back in 1998, after bringing new sourdough techniques to Australia from Northern California. He originally travelled 1080kms from Terrigal to Bellata in country NSW every week to bake the loaves to sell at markets, before relocating to Sydney and selling wholesale in 2001. Sonoma now sells bread to multiple award-winning restaurants as well as running seven cafes in Sydney.
