With every new business, there’s a period of growth before going after your first big client.
For Pamela Jabbour of Total Image Group, that client emerged when Big W came calling.
Pamela joined The Mentor with Mark Bouris to talk about how her business scaled up to design and manufacture 30,000 corporate uniforms for the likes of Big W.
“I put a lot of effort into our website with my marketing background, and fashion in general is a bit behind compared fo the global market,” Pamela said.
“I’ve always benchmarked uniforms to fashion in Australia and to fashion globally and even fashion in Australia is behind, so my goal has been to keep up with that.”
The next step was to make her brand visible, which Pamela did through digital marketing.
“We were one of the first companies to have a cool, young website and put a lot of effort into that and a lot of money into advertising online,” Pamela said.
“At that time, Google wasn’t what it is today and people in our industry didn’t know about it and we were one of the first to advertise online, so Big W contacted us through our website.”
