Chad Taylor joined The Mentor with Mark Bouris to talk about his meal delivery service, Fast Fuel Meals, which launched in 2015.
Mark Bouris asks the big question: what has been your biggest challenge?
“Creating systems, that’s the first one,” Taylor said.
“With the restaurants I own I’m very hands on, and I can fix anything so it’s very easy to manage my team.”
“But now having multiple cafes and delivery systems and catering and all these different arms, I’ve had to create systems that work and get staff to follow them.”
The execution piece is specifically important - to make sure every member of your team buys into your systems and processes.
“Implementing that has been a big challenge for me,” Taylor said.
“Even logistics in general, just understanding that side of it and moving into an area that wasn’t my expertise, that’s been my biggest challenge.”
