Sarah-Jane Clarke knows how to make a successful fashion retail store, having been the co-founder of Sass & Bide before selling to Myer in 2014.

Here are Sarah-Jane’s rules for what makes a successful retail shopping store when it comes to merchandising:

-Height of the rails in the store are so important, the shoulders of the garment should be at eye level.
-Spacing of the garments is really important so you can see the garments
-Coat hangers tell a lot about the standards in your store.
-Use different lengths and textures in the fabrics to create a visual feast for your shopper.
