How I deal with Election Time

Reading Time: 2 minutes
The election is dominating the conversation – across headlines, social media, and group chats. That’s to be expected…
I unpacked a lot of this in my solo podcast yesterday (set to drop next week), but while it’s top of mind, I wanted to share how I deal with the election period:
I focus on what I can control.
As business owners, we can’t afford to get caught up in the noise. You can disagree with policies, feel strongly about what’s at stake – but the moment you sit back and let that frustration fester without action, you’re falling behind.
During times of economic uncertainty, or when the country feels off balance, there’s always an opportunity to make smart, strategic shifts. It might require more effort. It might mean doubling down in key areas or tightening the weaknesses in your business. But that’s what separates the reactive from the proactive.
The key is to operate in the world as it is- not as you wish it were. That means staying sharp at all times. Because when the economy improves and moves through its cycle (as it always does) – you won’t be left playing catch-up. You’ll be ready.
